Your scripts, ideas and videos stay on your phone. Sufler has no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and does not sell or share personal data.
Only when you ask for subtitles, AI dictation or a translation is the needed sound or text sent to our server, which passes it to a processing service and sends the result back. Nothing of it is kept on our server.
Scripts, ideas, settings, the list of recorded videos with their subtitles and translations. Videos are saved by your camera in your Gallery; Sufler only remembers where they are.
Uninstalling the app deletes this data. Videos in the Gallery stay.
Subtitles and AI dictation: the sound of the video or recording goes, through our server, to ElevenLabs (speech to text). It is used only to return the words and their times.
Translation: the subtitle or script text goes, through our server, to OpenAI. Under OpenAI's API terms it is not used to train their models and is deleted after at most 30 days.
"Live" dictation uses your phone's own speech recognition service (for example Google), under that service's terms.
All of this travels encrypted (HTTPS).
A random number made by the app for your phone (not linked to your name, phone number or Google account), and how many free minutes and translated characters it used this month, so the free limits work. These counters are deleted after about 40 days.
For finding faults: the size and duration of the last request and how long it took. No sound, no text, no videos.
The server runs on Cloudflare; Cloudflare may log technical data such as IP addresses for security for a short time.
App updates are delivered by Expo (EAS Update), which receives the usual technical data of a download.
To use Sufler you log in with your email address and a code we send to it. There is no password.
Your email address, the date you signed up and when you last logged in are kept by Supabase, the login service we use (servers in the EU). They are used only to log you in, to count your free minutes per account, and to answer you if you write to us. We do not send newsletters or ads, and we do not sell or share your address.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. That deletes your email address and your counters.
Microphone: only while you record an idea.
Photos and videos: to find the video you just recorded, choose videos for subtitles, show them in the app, and save videos with subtitles.
Sufler is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
You can delete everything on your phone at any time by deleting it in the app or uninstalling it. Because our server keeps no personal data apart from the counters above, there is nothing else to request; if you have questions, write to us.
